Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a popular Indian actress who is best recognized for her roles in the films Beta Saajan, and Hum Aapke Hai Koun, and Beta Saajan. The actress began her career in the late 1980s, and rose to popularity with her role in the film Tezaab in which she appeared alongside an established actor Anil Kapoor. Her next role was in Dil in which she shared screen space with Aamir. Born into a Mumbai middle class family and started dancing at a young age. At the age of 16 She began to act and suffered for several years as the majority of her first films were failures. Eventually, she found success with Indian filmmaking and rose to the very top. She took a break from her profession due to her marriage, before going back to the entertainment industry. Recently, she was a key player in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit was nominated fifteen times for Filmfare Awards. She won eight of these. Padma Shri - the fourth highest civilian honor in India - was given to Dixit. The award was also given to her by the social sector.
